i havent seen my mum for more than a month. the phone rang, its mum. she wishes me happy birthday.

i must have been 5 when this photo was taken. it was then that i shouted at mum, always questioning her why other mum does nice things for their kids and she doesn't. likewise, she would ask why i wasn't as smart as those kids- never coming in tops in class. i grew up always feeling i wasn't loved. the truth is mum always showered me with love, she just did not make a big fuss out of it.

no one remembers my birthday year after year.

with the new oven and new baking gear, all i need now is a good baking book and time for adventure in the world of cookies and cakes.

i am all happy now with this new hobby, along with my cycling- finally found a good pair of cycling shoes. thanks to mak. with the new year round the corner, i just can't wait for it to start.

just a week ago, i had a feeling that time is running out. it felt like the world is coming to an end. and now, i just can't wait for it to end so that the new year would bring many new hopes and dreams.

new year resolutions? someone whom i have never met called just to make some talk asked me. i said i have none, i live for the moment. and of course i was lying.

2006 is the year i will get my driver's license!
video girl will be back and that will put alot of things back into perspective. perhaps i will get to learn how to ski since Q has been pestering to go to melbourne to join him for a ski holiday. i shall make my first short film and become more involve in the arts scene again since i have been busy making money this year. well, if all is well, i might even get a car!

ha.

for now, i am just happy that everything is in place at home. more parties coming up real soon.

2 more lousy chin ups and i won't have to go for remedial training. boring sia! better book another place where i can start off with the chin ups. tired myself too much before reaching the chin up station today.

my running was lousy like hell man.

i really need to exercise. good news is i have come to realise that exercise gives me the strength that i have been missing all this while. its been keeping me up. not bad, got alot of things done.

got to train! need to run. chin up. arggggggggggh

i thank GOD that i am alive.

i could have ended up in the hospital tonight for getting jigawatts of power run through my veins. i had put some laundry into the washing machine and gone into the room to catch CSI miami.

i had an impression that my phone rang, so i came into the living room. it did not ring but there was knocking at the door. boi and april finally got here.

the living room was flooded.

the water came from the washing machine water outlet which was not fixed properly after i have shifted it a couple of nights ago.

the water almost reached the extension cables on the floor. had boi and april come any later, i could have needed to buy another computer. worst, i could have ended up killing myself with the leftover water from the laundry.

thank GOD i am alive.

the couple came for coffee and i offered them to mop the floor. how terrible a friend i am.

i have myself to blame for drinking too much tea for the whole of yesterday. i stayed up till 5 this morning, only then did my heart slow down a little so i could put my head to rest.

9am, call comes in from a client, returning a call i have made yesterday. done. can't sleep anymore. so i decided i got to have my stomach's fill. viola! nice breakfast on the balcony dining table, stacey kent crooning in the background, i wish bebe was here.

my brain is all system go in the morning. i know exactly what to say even when i pick up the phone in bed. such is work in my life. ha.

day 2 at haig rd and mao mao moves in. i think she likes the place alot too. she just can't stop looking around, checking out where she could jump, how she could get out to play with the kitties in the hood.

i am glad she is settled. months before when we first had intentions of moving together, randy just had one rule: no animals. he came back this evening meowing back at the cat and asked me to brief him on mao's feeding patterns. ha.

the truck kissed the landrover's backside. the back door was damaged but it only left a dent. i wouldn't vouch to say the same for a getz, a mini, or a piccanto and the likes.

good thing no one got hurt.

the drunkard lost his intergrity and probably his driver's license too. kai lost a door and i lost some sleep having dreamt that i ran into people, knocking down doors along the way. all that in a even more surreal dream than what had happened last night.

i am going to start learning how to drive soon.

surreal moment

the last surreal moment i remembered was when i a friend had gone into a fit.

i had a surreal moment tonight. tired after a day's work, i had gone to get dinner after guan's wedding. kai drove. it was at the junction of sims and geylang. a truck travelling on the opposite of the road had skidded and ran over the road divider and propelled towards us. moments before the hit, i remember looking back and was surprised when i saw a truck with no driver coming towards the back of our car.

there was a big impact.

we got out. kai was pissed, i was puzzled. we approached the truck. the driver was lying down, stretching across on the passenger seat. he was drunk. so drunk that it was obvious that the police did not have to use a alcohol detector on him. he did not make sense in his words, babbling on, saying everything is ok and all will be ok, in his let's-shake-hands-and-lets-all-go-home-to-sleep-mood.

999. our friendly police officers arrived moments later. they were really friendly, especially towards our new drunkard friend.

all was settled. we were tired and wanted to go home. we saw mr drunkard being taken away in the patrol car as we left.
dont drink and drive. this came as something so real and yet surreal.

yes. a christmas party is in the making as we speak. the air conditioning is in and come tomorrow we will get nice sinks to wash our filthy hands. nope they are not gold plated. its countdown to christmas, to the day we shift into this neat and cool new place. all white is what its going to be.
